About the event
Sigma Gamma Rho’s annual Youth Symposium is hosted nationally by Alumnae Chapters each March to highlight prevalent concerns which negatively impacts our youth. This initiative was originated by the late Dr. LaRona J. Morris between 1996-2000. Eta Pi Sigma and the affiliate Rhoer Club will honorably continue her work by empowering youth in the Grand Rapids community and engaging in a hands-on youth conference.
Please encourage your youth to join us as we discuss important topics related to mental health and self-care. This year’s 2023 Youth Symposium will explore the title of “What’s On Your Mind? A focus on youth mental health.”
The event will be held on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 from 10am-3pm at Grand Valley’s L.V. Eberhard Center- 301 Fulton St W, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
Students will participate in workshops, panels, and the creation of different items meant to support their mental wellbeing. There will be food, fun, gifts, and raffle prizes for the students who register and attend!
Please fill this form out for your student to register to attend as only the first 50 registered students will receive spots.
